Types of Widgets in AIQ
Cerebri AIQ offers over 40 widgets; the table below highlights the five most used, along with their best use cases, examples, and when to avoid them.
| Chart Type | Best Used For | Example | Avoid When |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bar Chart | Comparing values across categories | Total spend by department or employee | Showing trends over time (use Line instead) |
| Line Chart | Showing trends over time | Monthly T&E spend over a 12-month period | Comparing unrelated categories (use Bar instead) |
| Tree Map | Showing data across categories and sub-categories | Breaking down total spend by category and sub-category | Precise comparisons between values are needed |
| Pie Chart | Showing proportions of a whole | Percentage of spend by expense category | Too many categories (more than 5–6 slices) |
| Table | Displaying detailed or raw data | Line-item expense submissions with dates and amounts | Presenting data that is better visualized in a chart |
Configuring Data
After selecting a chart type, you will be taken to the data configuration panel. This is where you define what data the chart will show.
Data Sources
AIQ Data pulls from multiple sources, which form the foundation for all data configuration within the platform. Each source is represented by a short code used to identify and organize the available data.
| Code | Stands for | What It Includes |
|---|---|---|
| A | All-Sources | Data combined from all available sources. This is the broadest view. This includes every transaction that has been processed and loaded into AIQ. Use this when you want a complete picture across all data types. |
| C | Corporate Card | Transactions made on company-issued credit cards, such as Visa or Mastercard corporate cards. |
| T | Travel (TMC) | Bookings made through a Travel Management Company (TMC), for example, flights, hotels, and ground transport booked through a managed travel booking tool. |
| E | Expenses | Out-of-pocket expenses submitted by employees through an expense management system, such as invoices or personal card charges. |
| HR | HR Records | Employee data from your HR system |
