Viewing Citations from the AI Response
After asking a question in Document Q&A, the Docs Agent response will display numbered citation markers at the bottom of the response.
To view a citation:
- Click on any numbered citation marker below the response.
- The Preview section will open in the Sources panel.
- The referenced document will be displayed, with the specific section used to generate the response highlighted.
This allows you to quickly see where the information came from without manually searching through the document.
Viewing Citations from the Sources Panel
You can also view all citations from the Citations tab in the Sources panel.
The Citations tab provides a detailed breakdown of each referenced document, including:
- The document name and page number.

- Available actions for reviewing and managing the citation.
From here, you can:
- Open in Preview – View the referenced section of the document directly.
- Open Large Preview – View the document in a larger window.
